Julia Durand, deferred compensation manager for the $152.7 billion California State Teachers' Retirement System, West Sacramento, was elected president of the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators at its annual convention this week in Albuquerque, N.M.
Ms. Durand replaces Gay Lynn Bath, deferred compensation manager for the $1.03 billion Oregon Savings Growth Plan, Salem.
Ms. Durand is administrator of the Pension2 Personal Wealth Plan, a group of three defined contribution plans within CalSTRS that has a combined $300 million in assets.
Thomas Mueller, chairman of the $186 million Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts Deferred Compensation Plan, Whittier, Calif., was elected vice president.
Eric Sanderson, defined contribution plan manager for the $76.3 billion Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, was elected secretary-treasurer. The system's 401(a) plan has $483 million in assets.
