Ignis Advisors hired a team from London-based boutique alternatives consultant Clontarf Capital — led by Clontarf's principal and founder, Aoifinn Devitt, who was named head of client strategies.

The position is new, Ms. Devitt said in a telephone interview.
Ms. Devitt will be joined by analysts Javier Herranz and Cian O'Sullivan. The team “will be doing the same thing we've always done, but within a bigger group,” Ms. Devitt said.
At Ignis, a multiboutique money manager, Ms. Devitt will report to Claude Chene, global head of distribution.
“The market dynamics favor bigger firms, and as a boutique consultant, we couldn't fight that trend,” Ms. Devitt said, referring to Clontarf.
She declined to say how many clients will follow the team to Ignis, but added, “nothing will change in terms of our client services.”
Elizabeth Carey will remain as the sole managing director in the credit practice at Clontarf, Ms. Devitt said.
