Dan S. Meader was elected to a one-year term as chairman of the board of governors of CFA Institute, confirmed spokeswoman Sarah-Jane Purvis.
Mr. Meader, founder and managing partner of Trinity Private Equity Group, replaces Margaret Franklin, president of Kinsale Wealth Management, who will continue to serve as immediate past chair.
Alan M. Meder, senior vice president of Duff & Phelps Investment, was elected as vice chair, succeeding Mr. Meader, as well as to a second three-year term on the board.
Also elected to second three-year terms on the board were Saeed Al-Hajeri, head of emerging markets at $627 billion Abu Dhabi Investment Authority; Roger Urwin, global head of investment content at Towers Watson; and Jane Shao, founder and director of Lumiere Pavilions.
All terms were effective Sept. 1.
