Mark Taborsky was named a managing director at BlackRock and senior portfolio manager at its multiasset client solutions group, effective Sept. 12.
The position is new, said BlackRock spokesman Brian Beades.
Mr. Taborsky will oversee client assets within the group’s fiduciary management solutions business. He’ll report to Nancy Everett, managing director and head of the firm’s U.S. fiduciary management solutions business.
Mr. Taborsky was an executive vice president at Pacific Investment Management Co., responsible for “asset allocation strategies and European solutions efforts,” according to a BlackRock news release. PIMCO spokesman Michael Reid declined to comment.
BlackRock’s multiasset client solutions group had $126 billion in assets under management as of June 30, of which the fiduciary management solutions business oversaw $50 billion, according to the BlackRock release.
