Tjerk Kroes was named APG Group’s director of corporate strategy and policy as part of a series of personnel changes at APG, according to spokesman Harmen H. Geers.
Mr. Kroes, who will join on Nov. 1, is director of the general social-economic affairs department in the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. He will replace Menno Snel, who was appointed as the Dutch executive director of the International Monetary Fund in Washington.
Elsewhere, Gerben Everts, APG’s manager of corporate finance, control and risk management, will become director at the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets, which is responsible for supervising financial market operations. His replacement at APG has not been chosen, Mr. Geers said.
Separately, Donui Agbokou replaced Wim Barentsen as chief strategist in APG’s economics and financial markets division. Ms. Agbokou was senior strategist in the same department. Mr. Barentsen was named chief strategist at Syntrus Achmea, a fiduciary manager with about €57 billion ($81 billion) in assets under management.
APG is also a fiduciary manager with €275 billion in assets under management, including assets for the €242 billion Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP, Heerlen, Netherlands.
