Christopher Sheldon was named chief investment officer of The Dreyfus Corp., effective Nov. 1, confirmed Mike Dunn, spokesman for Dreyfus parent BNY Mellon Asset Management.
Mr. Sheldon will succeed Phil Maisano, who retired in April, Mr. Dunn said.
Mr. Sheldon was director of investment strategy at BNY Mellon Wealth Management and president of BNY Mellon Funds. Mr. Dunn said a search is under way to replace Mr. Sheldon as BNY Mellon Wealth Management's director of investment strategy. Mr. Sheldon will remain president of BNY Mellon Funds.
