Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, issued an RFP for a search for managers to run a total of $750 million in active international value equities.
The $26 billion fund could to hire more than one manager, according to the RFP.

Proposals are due Sept. 9; a decision is expected in December or January.
The IMRF plans to benchmark managers for the allocation primarily to the MSCI ACWI ex-U.S. index.
Funding would come from a $1.9 billion MSCI EAFE index fund, managed by Northern Trust Global Investments.
Callan Associates, IMRF's investment consultant, is assisting in the search.
