Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System, Oklahoma City, plans in the next few days to issue two RFPs, one for record-keeping services and the other for a stable value fund option for its SoonerSave 457 and 401(a) voluntary supplemental savings plans, confirmed Tom Spencer, OPERS executive director.
Incumbent record keeper Great-West Retirement Services is invited to rebid. The contract for record keeper begins July 1, 2012, Mr. Spencer said in a telephone interview.
Mr. Spencer said the record keeper search is part of a regularly scheduled search the system conducts about every five years.
The system's SoonerSave 457 plan has $539 million in assets and its 401(a) plan has $142.8 million, Mr. Spencer said.
He said the RFPs will be available by early next week on the system's website at www.opers.ok.gov.
