John Strohman joined Madison Square Investors as a director and head of consultant relations, and Scott Ohm joined MSI as a vice president of marketing and client services, confirmed John Puccio, a spokesman for the equity affiliate's parent company, New York Life Investment Management.
Mr. Strohman replaces Gary Faccenda, who left MSI in January to join hedge fund firm Lyrical Partners as managing director, consultant relations and institutional sales.
Mr. Ohm's position is new.
According to a news release from MSI, Mr. Strohman was a principal and product specialist, responsible for managing client and consultant relationships, at Prudential Financial affiliate Quantitative Management Associates. Before that, Mr. Strohman had worked at MSI's predecessor organization, Equity Investors Group, before that NYLIM division became a separate subsidiary in January 2009.
Prudential spokeswoman Theresa Miller declined to comment on plans to replace Mr. Strohman.
Mr. Ohm was a vice president, consultant relations, at Forward Management. Clay Smudsky, president, institutional, at Forward Management, couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
