Worcester Regional Retirement System, Auburn, Mass., is seeking help in conducting a due diligence review, confirmed Kevin P. Blanchette, chairman and CEO of the $400 million system.
The system completed an actuarial valuation of the plan's investment portfolio and is conducting a “non-traditional search” for any kind of firm or professional that could assist in an independent assessment and analysis of the portfolio, according to Mr. Blanchette.
The system also wants to review the portfolio in relation to other public funds and analyze its asset allocation linked to the system's liabilities and fund management.
Investment consultants, auditors or accounting firms would be considered.
Interested parties should respond by Sept. 16 to Kevin P. Blanchette, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Worcester Regional Retirement System, 23 Midstate Drive, Auburn, MA 01501.
