NCREIF Property index return for the second quarter of 2011 was 3.94%, up from 3.36% in the first quarter, according to data from the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries.
It is the sixth consecutive quarter of positive return. The NCREIF Property index earned 16.7% for the year ended June 30.
Industrial properties were the best performing classification, earning 4.49%, followed by offices at 4.45%. Retail was the worst performer, at 2.57%.
