Deborah Fuhr, managing director and global head of BlackRock’s ETF research and implementation strategy, is resigning to pursue other opportunities, according to a BlackRock spokeswoman.
Reached by telephone Thursday, Ms. Fuhr declined to comment about her plans.
In an e-mail Thursday, BlackRock spokeswoman Caroline Hancock said BlackRock’s ETF research will be “provided by the new BlackRock Investment Institute.”
BlackRock will be dedicating additional resources to expand and deepen its independent ETF coverage, Ms. Hancock noted. Russ Koesterich, global chief investment strategist for the firm’s iShares platform and a member of the BlackRock Investment Institute, will help set BlackRock’s ETF research agenda, according to her e-mail.
