Private equity and real estate returns for Texas Teacher Retirement System

The $109.1 billion Texas Teacher Retirement System announced recently that it would be drastically reducing its private equity and real assets manager base. According to the system's most recent annual report and investment committee meeting materials, private equity returns have been generally strong while real estate returns have lagged in the long run.
