Rupal Bhansali left MacKay Shields, where she served as portfolio manager of the $450 million five-star-Morningstar-rated MainStay International Equity fund, confirmed John Puccio, spokesman for parent company New York Life Investment Management.
Mr. Puccio offered no further details regarding Ms. Bhansali, who was a managing director and head of MacKay Shields' international equity team. She couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. Puccio said Edward Ramos replaced Ms. Bhansali, joining MacKay Shields as a senior managing director, head of the international equity team and lead portfolio manager of the MainStay fund on May 27.
Mr. Puccio said Mr. Ramos previously worked with Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he served as an executive director, portfolio manager and head of the global growth team. He briefly served as a portfolio manager on the Invesco Global Advantage Fund and the Invesco Van Kampen International Advantage Fund following Invesco’s May 31, 2010, purchase of Morgan Stanley’s retail fund management business, before leaving on June 25 of that year, confirmed Invesco spokesman Ivy McLemore.
