Alan Harden joined BNY Mellon Asset Management in Hong Kong as the firm’s CEO of Asia-Pacific.
The position is new, in so far as Mr. Harden’s responsibilities as CEO, Asia-Pacific, have been broadened, spokesman Mike Dunn said. Mr. Harden will be responsible for BNY Mellon Asset Management’s distribution, business development, as well as its strategic, financial and operating plans across the Asia-Pacific region.
David Jiang, who held the title of CEO, Asia-Pacific through mid-2010, moved to affiliate Mellon Capital Management as an executive vice president, responsible for expanding BNY Mellon Asset Management’s global beta businesses, including indexing, ETFs and transition management, Mr. Dunn said.
Mr. Harden previously served as CEO of ING Investment Management’s Asia-Pacific business, leaving that post in August 2010.
