City of Shoreline (Wash.) hired TIAA-CREF as record keeper for its 401(a) and 457(b) retirement plans, effective June 1, TIAA-CREF announced in a news release.
The 401(a) plan has $13 million in assets; the 457(b) plan, $7.6 million, said Richard Moore, Shoreline’s senior human resource analyst.
TIAA-CREF will provide retirement planning advice and an interactive website for employees to receive plan details, among other services.
Neither Julie Underwood, city manager, nor city spokesman Eric Bratton were immediately available for comment.
