Stichting Alcatel-Lucent Pensioenfonds, Rijswijk, Netherlands, will invest €25 million ($35 million) in TOBAM Anti-Benchmark World Equity Fund, according to Cor Zeeman, director of the €550 million fund.
The mandate is new strategy for the fund and aims to quantitatively reduce risk within core global equities through diversification, Mr. Zeeman wrote in an e-mail.
Funding will come from reducing an enhanced-indexing world equity portfolio managed by BlackRock to €25 million.
The decision was made to diversify the portfolio and is not because of performance, Mr. Zeeman said.
