Arthur Certosimo was named CEO of global markets at BNY Mellon, confirmed spokesman John Heine.
Mr. Certosimo replaces Richard Mahoney, who previously announced his decision to retire — following a transition — at the end of June. Mr. Certosimo will oversee BNY Mellon’s foreign exchange, capital markets and derivatives trading businesses worldwide, according to a news release.
Mr. Certosimo was CEO of alternative, broker-dealer and treasury services at BNY Mellon. Brian Ruane, the company’s CEO of alternative investment services, has replaced Mr. Certosimo. He will retain his previous responsibilities.
