Phyllis L Walker was named CFO at the $15.3 billion Illinois State Universities Retirement System, Champaign.
Ms. Walker replaces Shelley Porter, who asked to return to her former position of assistant CFO, which has more technical and fewer managerial duties, Daniel L. Allen, chief investment officer, said in an e-mail.
Ms. Walker was finance operations manager for the $25.3 billion Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook.
