Bruce Feldman, director of alternative investments at the $25.6 billion Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System, Harrisburg, plans to retire, according to Robert R. Gentzel, director of communications and policy.
PennSERS is searching for a replacement and hopes to fill the position before Mr. Feldman leaves, which is expected to be on June 17, Mr. Gentzel said in an e-mail. The search is being conducted internally without the use of an executive recruiting firm.
Mr. Feldman has been director of alternative investments since 2000 and with PennSERS since 1991. He wasn’t available to comment.
PennSERS has $5 billion, or 20% of assets, in private equity and $1.5 billion, or 6%, in venture capital.
