Dwayne S. McGraw was named head of valuation at ING U.S. Retirement Services, confirmed spokesman Joseph Loparco.
Mr. McGraw’s responsibilities include “serving as the primary point person for overseeing the calculation of reserves, producing financial statements, completing rating agency surveys, internal and external valuation audits and systematic reporting to regulators,” according to an ING news release.
He reports to Lisa Thomas, chief insurance risk officer for ING U.S. Retirement Services, the news release said.
Mr. McGraw replaces Scott Shepherd, who “is moving to an investment role within ING,” Mr. Loparco wrote in an e-mail. He didn’t have details.
Most recently, Mr. McGraw was supervising actuary of life insurance at Genworth Financial, according to the news release. Genworth plans to replace him, said Tom Topinka, a spokesman for Genworth.
