Kurt Feuerman was named a senior vice president and portfolio manager, U.S. equities, at AllianceBernstein, effective in late May.
The position is new, confirmed spokesman John Meyers.
Mr. Feuerman is a senior managing director and U.S. equity portfolio manager at hedge fund manager Caxton Associates. On May 31, AllianceBernstein “will assume the role of investment manager and trading adviser” for two strategies Mr. Feuerman oversees at Caxton: the long-short equity growth strategy and the long-only alpha equity strategy, according to an AllianceBernstein news release.
Mr. Meyers said some assets in those strategies will move to AllianceBernstein with Mr. Feuerman from Caxton, in exchange for some consideration. He declined to elaborate.
A call to Caxton was referred to Edelman public relations, where a spokesman for the firm declined to comment.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the team at Caxton that helped Mr. Feuerman establish his track record in those strategies would be joining him at AllianceBernstein.
