Jeffrey W. Kong was named a portfolio manager at alternative investment firm Passport Capital.
This is a new position, spokeswoman Kelly Smith confirmed in an e-mail. Mr. Kong will manage Passport’s mortgage-backed and related fixed-income strategies.
Mr. Kong was senior managing director and partner at hedge fund Structured Portfolio Management. Donald Sussis, director of communications at the firm, could not be reached by press time for information about Mr. Kong’s replacement.
