Eloy Lindeijer was named chief investment manager of PGGM Investments, effective Sept. 1, spokeswoman Diana Abrahams confirmed.
Mr. Lindeijer will replace Jac Kragt, interim chief investment officer, who will return to his previous post as chief finance and risk officer. Mr. Kragt had succeeded Johan van der Ende, who stepped down in October.
Mr. Lindeijer currently is division director, financial markets, at regulator De Nederlandsche Bank, which must approve the appointment.
PGGM manages €105 billion ($149 billion), including the assets of the €80 billion Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn, Zeist, Netherlands.
