Alexandria (Va.) Police and Firefighters' Pension Plan is searching for two domestic large-cap equity managers to run $10 million to $15 million each, confirmed Steven Bland, retirement administrator for the $170 million plan.
Two RFPs have been issued thus far for a large-cap value manager and large-cap growth manager.
The deadline for the large-cap growth search is 5 p.m. EDT April 14, and the deadline for the large-cap value search is 5 p.m. EDT April 15. Final presentation dates are yet to be determined.
The plan also will be issuing RFPs for developed and emerging markets equity managers for about $15 million each, according to Mr. Bland. The timing of those RFPs is yet to be determined.
Current managers, all invited to rebid, are large-cap value manager Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss; large-cap growth manager Jennison Associates; developed markets manager Artio Global Investors; and emerging markets equities manager Oppenheimer Capital.
