New Mexico State Investment Council launched an RFP for a manager to run a Russell 1000 index fund, said Charles Wollmann, director of communications for the $15 billion Santa Fe-based council.
The portfolio will not be permitted to hold non-U.S. dollar securities. Deadline for RFP proposals is 8:30 a.m. MST March 11. The council is expected to make a selection on March 22. The RFP is on the council's website at www.sic.state.nm.us.
Mr. Wollmann was involved in a council meeting and could not provide details on the expected size of the mandate and whether the incumbent, if any, would be invited to rebid.
