Paul Spencer was named chairman of the £33.9 billion ($54 billion) BT Pension Scheme, London, effective March 1, confirmed spokesman Dan Thomas.
Mr. Spencer replaces Rod Kent, who will leave the scheme’s board after a three-year term as chairman. A replacement for Mr. Kent’s board will be announced soon, Mr. Thomas said in an e-mail.
Mr. Spencer has been a trustee at the plan since Sept. 1, 2009, and is a member of the board’s audit committee.
