Harold O. Rosser started a new middle-market private equity firm, Rosser Capital Partners, that will focus primarily on restaurant investments, Chris Tofalli, spokesman, confirmed in an e-mailed response to questions.
Mr. Rosser was co-founder and managing director of $1.4 billion private equity firm Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co.; the company announced on Jan. 3 that Mr. Rosser would leave the firm.
Also joining Rosser Capital are Jacob A. Organek, partner, who was a managing director at Bruckmann Rosser, and Luke J. Rosser, vice president, who was a senior associate at Bruckmann Rosser.
Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co. will retain its name; managing directors Stephen Sherrill, Bruce Bruckmann and Thomas Baldwin will lead the firm, according to a company news release.
