New Zealand Superannuation Fund, Wellington, hired quantitative manager QS Investors to run about NZ$600 million (US$458 million) in global equities.
QS Investors was formed last year by the former Deutsche Asset Management quant team, led by CEO Janet Campagna, which has worked together for about 10 years. They have a range of asset allocation and active equity strategies.
NZ Super invests more than 60% of its total assets in international equities.
