Faith Marion Robinson in her day job helps investment management firms market to institutional investors.
In her spare time, Ms. Robinson has recorded two CDs at Roseland Recording Studio, Moate, Ireland.
“It's the Nashville of Ireland,” she noted.
If Ms. Robinson can find enough sponsors, the Public Broadcasting Service would produce a three-part concert special based on her second album, “Faith Robinson-A Celtic Awakening” which would be released in conjunction with the airing of the PBS special. The special would be filmed in Ireland and tell stories of Ireland's past.
Lillian C. Jones, founder and president of Artemis Global Partners is leading the effort to raise the capital needed for the TV show, mostly from the investment management industry.
No novice to the investment management world, Ms. Robinson has worked for ABN AMRO Asset Management, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Group PLC, Schneider Capital Management and Alpine Woods Capital Investors LLC. Most recently, she acted as an independent marketing consultant for hedge fund Esopus Creek Advisors LLC, she said.
For the past six years, Ms. Robinson has been on the board of Singers Forum, a non-profit that offers vocal training for students of all ages. Her first album, “Faith Robinson, A Journey Home,” sprang from conversations with Singers Forum executives. She put together a website with samples of her music, http://www.faith-marionrobinson.com.
“I've always been in the arts, and singing all of my life,” she said.
