Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, authorized a search for managers for active U.S. large-cap growth equities, according to Linda Horrell, IMRF communications manager.
The $24 billion fund expects to issue an RFP before the end of March. The size of the portfolio has not been determined.
The search is being conducted because of organizational changes at AllianceBernstein, which manages $485 million in active U.S. large-cap growth for the fund. The firm has not been terminated and can rebid, Ms. Horrell wrote in an e-mail.
Callan Associates, the fund’s general consultant, is assisting.
