David Kane was named a portfolio manager and investment researcher at Acadian Asset Management, effective Jan. 3, confirmed Acadian spokesman Nigel Adam.
The position is new.
In a news release, John Chisholm, Acadian chief investment officer, said Mr. Kane will focus on developing “innovative and distinctive approaches to quantitative stock selection.”
Mr. Kane had been CEO of Kane Capital Management, managing global market-neutral quantitative equity portfolios. Mr. Adam said Kane Capital is closing.
