Dennis Anosike was named senior vice president and public fund relationship manager at Northern Trust, effective Nov. 15, confirmed spokesman Newton Sears.
He succeeds Kerry Nelson, who was named asset servicing practice leader at Northern Trust's personal financial solutions division, Mr. Sears confirmed in an e-mail.
Mr. Anosike reports directly to Laurie Neu, group head for public entities and institutions.
Mr. Anosike was senior director of management and performance at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Fred Stephens, deputy assistant secretary for administration, will assume Mr. Anosike's duties until the position is filled, said Parita Shah, a spokeswoman for the Commerce Department.
