Marie Chandoha was named president and CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management, confirmed spokesman Greg Gable.
Ms. Chandoha retains the chief investment officer duties she took on in September when she joined the Schwab unit from BlackRock. At BlackRock, she served as a managing director and head of iShares, index and model-based portfolio management for the firm’s fixed-income business.
As CEO, she replaced Randy Merk, who has taken on the role of executive vice president, special projects, Mr. Gable said.
Tim Webb, BlackRock’s CIO of index and model-based fixed income, assumed her duties in September.
