New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany, allocated $478.5 million in five separate investments, according to a news release from Thomas P. DiNapoli, state comptroller and the sole trustee of the $124.8 billion fund.
The fund added $200 million to its allocation to Earnest Partners in its domestic equity portfolio and $200 million to Oaktree Capital Management in its private equity portfolio, according to the news release. Fund spokesman Olayinka Fadahunsi could not immediately specify the style or cap size of the domestic equity investment. The retirement fund also closed two affordable housing transactions, worth $3.5 million, with Oaktree in its real estate portfolio.
Additionally, the fund added $75 million to its allocation to Generation Investment Management in its international equity portfolio.
The transactions took place in September.
