Arthur Lev was named chief strategy officer for Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s traditional asset management business, confirmed MSIM spokeswoman Erica Platt.
The position is new.
Mr. Lev was MSIM’s general counsel. He was replaced by Chris O’Dell, who was general counsel for MSIM’s real estate investing and merchant banking businesses. Mr. O’Dell’s previous responsibilities are being assumed by Barbara Burns, named executive director and head of real estate legal, and Jason Koenig, named executive director and head of merchant banking legal. Both will report to Mr. O’Dell.
Separately, Navtej S. Nandra, managing director and head of MSIM International, will assume the new role of chief strategy officer of MSIM’s real estate investing and merchant banking businesses as well.
