Andy Stewart was named managing director and head of the liquid alternatives business in Credit Suisse’s asset management division, effective Dec. 1.
He will replace Ravi Singh, managing director, who was promoted to head of alternative investments in June, said spokeswoman Suzanne Fleming.
Mr. Stewart will be responsible for expanding the liquid alternatives business, which includes single manager hedge funds, hedge funds of funds and index products.
He was U.S. president and COO at Man Investments. Brendan McManus, a spokesman for Man Investments in the U.S., declined to comment.
