David Gilbert was named chief investment officer at real estate investment management firm ING Clarion Partners, heading acquisitions and investment research.
Mr. Gilbert will also sit on ING Clarion's executive board and investment committee, according to an ING Clarion spokeswoman.
He replaces Jeffrey A. Barclay, who was managing director and head of acquisitions; Mr. Barclay was named managing director and head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management's new real estate investment business.
Mr. Gilbert was managing director and a portfolio manager with ING Clarion. The ING Clarion spokeswoman said no new portfolio manager will be hired.
