Timothy Barrett was named director of pension investments for Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N.Y., effective Nov. 1, company spokesman David Lanzillo confirmed in an e-mail response to questions.
Mr. Barrett replaces John C. Lane, who became director of investments for the $68.3 billion Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, in January.
Kodak had $11.33 billion in pension assets as of Sept. 30, 2009, according to Pensions & Investments.
Mr. Barrett is executive director and chief investment officer of the $4.9 billion San Bernardino (Calif.) County Employees’ Retirement Association, Nicole Dailey, the system’s communications officer, confirmed in an interview. He will resign from both positions on Friday.
Donald Pierce, a senior investment officer, was named interim CIO at San Bernardino, and Larry Walker, county auditor controller-recorder, was named managing trustee to handle the executive director duties, according to a news release.
The system’s board of trustees directed its staff to issue an RFP for an executive recruiting firm to fill the CIO and executive director jobs, according to the news release.
