Richard Grottheim was named interim CEO of AP7, replacing Peter Norman, who left the 84 billion Swedish kronor ($12.4 billion) fund to become Sweden's minister for financial markets, said spokesman Johan Floren.
Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt approved Mr. Norman's appointment on Tuesday, along with other ministerial appointments, according to the government's website.
Mr. Grottheim is also executive vice president at the fund. The fund's board is expected to discuss appointing a permanent CEO at its next meeting, Oct. 15.
