Scott Kilgallen was named a managing director at Neuberger Berman Group, effective Oct. 11.
He will oversee intermediary distribution for retirement services, subadvisory relationships, registered investment advisers and private banks, as well as distribution for middle-market institutional clients, said spokesman Richard Chimberg.
The position is new.
Mr. Kilgallen was a managing director with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, heading third-party distribution efforts for its North American subadvisory, retirement services, middle-market corporate and hedge fund-of-funds businesses.
GSAM spokeswoman Andrea Raphael said William McDermott, a managing director overseeing GSAM’s institutional defined contribution business, has assumed oversight of Mr. Kilgallen’s retail DC responsibilities, while Greg Wilson, a vice president, has assumed Mr. Kilgallen’s subadvisory, middle-market corporate and hedge fund-of-funds responsibilities.
