With the coming of fall, it's time to shelve those frivolous beach novels and pick up a weightier tome.
A great choice for institutional investors is the newest book by co-authors Cathleen M. Rittereiser and Lawrence E. Kochard, “Top Hedge Fund Investors: Stories, Strategies and Advice.”
The book's authors tease the secrets of successful investment in hedge funds from eight prominent investors, including Richard Elden, who founded Grosvenor Capital Management LP; Mark J.P. Anson, managing partner and chairman of the investment committee of Oak Hill Investment Management Group and Kathryn A. Hall, CEO and chief investment officer, Hall Capital Partners LLC.
Ms. Rittereiser said the book highlights the best practices of the industry's most successful investors. She is a New York-based alternative investment marketer who now is consulting.
“Other books profile hedge fund investors. The new book that Larry and I have written profiles investors in hedge funds, their processes, their risk management methods and their experience,” Ms. Rittereiser said in an interview.
Mr. Kochard is chief investment officer of Georgetown University's endowment fund. The pair's first book applied a similar approach to endowment and foundation investment officers.
