Scott P. Ruddick will join Eaton Vance on Sept. 20 as a vice president and head of institutional for the U.S. and Canada, confirmed spokeswoman Robyn Tice.
The position is new.
He will be responsible for business development, consultant relations and client service for the retirement plan, and endowment and foundation marketplaces in those countries.
Mr. Ruddick was a managing director and head of sales for North America at Mellon Capital Management. Mike Kotarski, a director of business development representative, replaced Mr. Ruddick. Mr. Kotarski retains some of his previous responsibilities, with other team members taking on the rest, Mellon spokesman Mike Dunn said.
