Pat O’Brien was appointed CEO of Aviva Investors in North America, spokeswoman Angela Warburton said.
He replaced Greg Boal, who left the company in February. Richard Field, director of global investment solutions, had assumed Mr. Boal’s responsibilities until Aviva named a permanent replacement.
Mr. O’Brien was head of international at Wachovia Global Asset Management. Peter A. Greenley, spokesman for Wells Fargo, which acquired Wachovia in late 2008, declined to provide further information about whether Mr. O’Brien will be replaced.
