Jonathan Pitkanen has been named head of investment-grade research at Threadneedle Asset Management, according to spokeswoman Ella Tekdag.
The position is new.
Mr. Pitkanen's appointment follows an announcement in July that Jim Cielinski will become the new head of fixed income, signaling a broader restructuring within the fixed-income group. Mr. Cielinski replaced William Frewen, who resigned in March.
Mr. Pitkanen will start Sept. 15.
Mr. Pitkanen previously was industrials credit analyst at Aviva Investors, according to Aviva spokeswoman Angele Warburton. He will not be replaced.
