Kathleen Hughes will become managing director and global co-head of cash distribution at Goldman Sachs Asset Management on Sept. 6, confirmed spokesman Nik Ekholm.
The co-head position is new. Ms. Hughes will share oversight of GSAM's $205 billion cash business with James Fitzpatrick, a managing director.
Mr. Ekholm said the new position was added as GSAM's cash business grew in size and complexity.
Ms. Hughes was managing director and head of global liquidity for Europe, Middle East and Africa at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in London. James Fuell, vice president and formerly head of liquidity sales at J.P. Morgan, replaced her. A replacement for head of liquidity sales has not been named.
