The average bid for buyout funds on the secondary private equity market was 86.4% of the funds’ net asset value in the first half of 2010, up from 68.9% in the second half of 2009, according to data from Cogent Partners.
The average fund marketed in the first half was 73.6% funded, up from 60.6% funded in the first half of 2009.
The data is based on private equity partnerships marketed by Cogent Partners from January through June, representing more than $3 billion in transaction value
