Daniel Edwards assumed leadership of the hedge fund practice at executive recruiter Heidrick & Struggles, confirmed Wendi Taylor Nations, a spokeswoman.
Mr. Edwards, who is global managing partner, financial services, continues to oversee the broad sector practice. He took over the hedge fund sector from Claude A. Schwab, who left at the end of April. Mr. Schwab said he is reviewing several opportunities in the industry but likely will take the rest of the summer off before making a final decision.
Mr. Edwards was managing partner of geographies and regional managing partner for the firm’s business in Asia Pacific and co-global head of the financial services practice.
Separately, Chad Astmann, consultant, now heads Heidrick & Struggle’s North American asset management business, Ms. Taylor Nations said. He replaces Paul Legvold, who was named senior client partner in Korn/Ferry International’s global asset management practice. Mr. Astmann has been a member of the financial services practice team for five years.
