Jack Yang joined specialist credit alternatives manager Onex Credit Partners as managing partner, a new position.
He will oversee all non-investment functions of the firm, including marketing, compliance, administration and legal activities, said Andrew J. Sheiner, a managing director of Onex Corp., which owns a 60% stake in Onex Credit Partners.
Onex Credit Partners manages $900 million in credit-related hedge funds, including event-driven, long/short and market dislocation strategies, through investment in bank loans, bonds and distressed debt.
Mr. Yang left his position as partner and head of business development at alternative investment manager Highland Capital Management, at the end of July 2009. Kevin Latimer replaced Mr. Yang as head of business development and marketing last summer, confirmed Scott Wilson, Highland managing director, business development.
