Raymond Haines was named head of U.K. liability-driven investing at SSgA in London, confirmed spokeswoman Arlene Roberts.
The position is new.
Mr. Haines was chief investment officer at U.K.-based LV= Asset Management, the fund management business of insurer LV=. Emma Holyer, a spokeswoman with LVAM, wasn't immediately available for comment.
Also, Christopher J. Goolgasian was named a senior portfolio manager in SSgA's multiasset-class solutions group, a new position in Boston, confirmed Ms. Roberts.
Mr. Goolgasian will be “responsible for developing and implementing multiasset-class solutions for defined benefit, defined contribution, and endowment and foundation clients,” according to an SSgA news release.
He was a vice president and client-facing institutional portfolio manager at Pyramis Global Advisors, the institutional investment arm of Fidelity Investments. Fidelity spokesman Steve Austin said Mr. Goolgasian’s responsibilities have been assumed by other members of his former global investment strategies team.
